In a book I'm trying to write, I gave one of my characters the ability to control electrical impulses. At the time it was because I didn't know what else to give him, but as I did more research, I realized it was so much more powerful than I thought! In addition to controlling technology, my character became able to control people as well. I'm not sure about their thoughts, but since the brain is a big bundle of nerves, and nerves use electrical stimuli, my character was able to control people's emotions, and their physical bodies as well.
