Submitting Assignments
- Moodle Assignments can be used to collect student submissions of all sorts: paper, digital documents and image files, or online text. You will likely see a variety of uses of this popular tool at LBCC. Usually, an instructor will provide instructions on how to complete the Assignment; if not, just ask for clarification. Here is a help guide on creating and submitting a writing assignment in Google Docs.

Using Forums
- Instructors use Forums (also know as discussion boards) in their courses to compliment, or even replace face-to-face discussions. This is a great way to carefully frame what you want to contribute to a group conversation. Other benefits include being able to give a topic or issue some thought and/or research before offering comments and ideas. Forums are a way to keep the group learning together and foster collaboration. There is a lot of learning value in asynchronous communication - jump in!

Taking Quizzes
- Instructors use Quizzes in Moodle to assess student learning and understanding. You may see everything from short check-in quizzes to mid-terms and final exams. If a Moodle Quiz is constructed with machine-gradable questions, you will be able to see your score the moment you submit your answers!

Everything You Need to Know About ZOOM
Zoom is a web-based video conferencing tool with a desktop client and a mobile app that allows users to meet online, with or without video. Zoom users can choose to record sessions, collaborate on projects, and share or annotate on one another’s screens, all with one easy-to-use platform. Zoom offers quality video, audio, and a wireless screen-sharing performance on virtually any device.
