The Last Song is a 2009 novel written by a well respected author, Nicholas Sparks. This has been one of my go to stories ever since my love for books began, and the movie is just as good, if not better! It dives into a moody teenage girls life visiting her dad for the summer because of a split marriage. Readers follow her love story, as well as her developing a new understanding of her dad while sharing their common interest in writing songs on the piano. I think it is worth the time to read/watch this story play out, and like I said I will always go back and pick up this novel!
