My favorite book is actually a contest between three series givin my mood for the day. firtst there is the one almost everyone know The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien series (includes the Hobbit). Then Honnor Harrington by David Weber very long series with lots of other authors co-writing side stories. Last is the Kurtherain Gambit series by Michael Anderle. This one has A ton of swearing and violence, so be warned, but also has several authors co-writing side stories.
