Hi all!
My book recommendation is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. The book is the story of a young woman, Jane Eyre, working as a governess in Victorian-Era England (for a little context, a governess is a person hired by a family to be a private nanny and school teacher to their children). As Jane Eyre grows up from a child to an adult in the book, she goes through numerous life experiences that require her to make difficult life choices, ultimately ending in her becoming a mature and wise wise young woman. Personally, I love the book because it both entertains the reader (through its engaging story and romantic plot) and requires them to ponder complicated ethical issues (and wonder what they would do if put in a similar circumstance as Jane Eyre).
