I recommend people watch House MD. It is a medical show that holds up well for its time, and has a lot of interesting moments that other shows don't do quite as well. You follow a nihilistic doctor (Greg House) and his team as they solve complex medical cases and bend rules to save their patients.
I have a friend who sends me clips of this show often. I've been checking the show out but haven't really seen anything.
