As far as reading goes, I have started the novel "Lovecraft Country" and find it to be entertaining. I know it is an HBO Show as well, so I decided to read the novel before watching the show. I also did this with Neil Gaiman's "American Gods," but I never did watch the show after finishing the novel. Reportedly, both of these show adaptations did well. I suppose to support the authors and actors, I would recommend these two shows and if they are not that great; I am sure they cannot be any worse than Game of Thrones at this point?!
