I am highly recommending Dark Harvest by Norman Partridge for this year's spooky season! Set in a small midwestern town, local teenage boys are set loose to track and kill October Boy every Halloween with the promise of grand prizes and a chance to escape rural living forever. Suspenseful and clever, this short novel provides an imaginative way to get into the Halloween spirit.
