Review of Example Essays
This is an assignment that students find very helpful. Gather some examples and put them in folders in Google Docs. Then create a link, so students can access the essays to choose ones to review.
- Read the following student essays and choose one "A" essay, one "B" essay, and one "C" essay. That is, you will read three essays.
- Then for each essay you read, write a brief paragraph discussing what you thought about the essay overall. Focus on how the writers wrote their essays.
- Finally, for one of the essays (you choose which), write one list telling what the writer did well, and one list telling what you think could make it better.
