What did I miss on Wednesday?

We also looked at different Children's books.  We got into groups and looked at the perspectives, illustrations, the messages and the portrayal of characters and people through a bias lens.  

Here is the link to the website from the University of Iowa which contains an evaluation criteria to view children's books.  Here is the link to the group activity.  Please submit the assignment by the end of class on Thursday if you are not there to complete it.  

Here is a link to children's books which contain bias.  There are many more examples.  If you do not have access to a book, many of these books are read aloud on you tube.
