  • Find a Study Group

       This topic is for students who want to either find or start a study group for a specific class or language.  Big Python midterm coming up?  Need to study for that Java final?  Need to brush up on your HTML?  Post here with your available schedule to find other students who want to study.  Your grade will thank you!

  • Assignment Help

        Stuck on an assignment, or don't understand what the question is asking for?  We've all been there.  Post the class and assignment information to get guidance from other students.  Please note, LBCC takes plagiarism very seriously, so look at the posting guidelines below before posting code.

        It's ok to ask for help with a specific problem, or to clarify the assignment details.  It's NOT ok to ask for someone to write your code for you, or to copy someone else's question and try to pass it off as your own.  It won't work, and you'll probably get in trouble.  Let's keep it safe, honest, and use this forum to LEARN, not just COPY.

        Code snippets (please keep them relevant to your question) should be posted on a site like http://pastebin.com/ and the link copied here.  This is intended for problems like a compile error you just can't figure out, rather than asking, "How do I do the whole thing?"  Approach the problem from a position of what you've already tried, rather than starting from scratch.

  • Code Challenges

        Got some time between classes and want to become a better programmer? Post a challenge here, or write code to solve someone else's challenge.  Any language is OK, solve it in Python, Java, C++, whatever you want to use.  Post your code so we all learn from each other's efforts (it's not homework so there are no concerns about plagiarism).

        If you completed all the challenges here and still want more, consider a site like http://codingbat.com/ or https://projecteuler.net, or post a site you've used for practice.

  • Collaborative Projects

        This topic is for students who want to work on bigger, collaborative projects together.  We could design a website, build a robot, work on an autonomous glider, the sky's the limit.  Literally.  Post your group project suggestions here or reply if you see a project you want to get involved in.  The club does have a small budget so if there is enough interest we can even purchase parts, so dream big!
